About the Girlfriend Ride

WE RIDE TO EMPOWER

A mother and daughter group from Hope, Indiana started the Girlfriend Ride to support victims of domestic violence by donating proceeds to Turning Point Domestic Violence Shelter. Now, the event has evolved into a women-led effort to provide local organizations and non-profits like our 2019 recipients, Columbus Bicycle Co-Op, Friends of Columbus Animal Care Services, and Columbus Animal Care Services (CACS), with the resources they need to serve the community.  Note:  2020 forced us to hit the pause button.

What Our Riders Are Saying

"This ride has always been great, but each year it gets better and better. The new location is a big part of that. I hope this ride continues for many years so that I can bring my granddaughters when they get a little older! Thanks for all your work in making this ride so much fun!" - DeAnne W.

"The ride was terrific. The sag wagons made us feel safe, the route was beautiful, and the food was out of this world!" - Karen B.
